Studio Layout Artist

Working for a large mail order company, designing page layouts and catalogue
covers. The role involved using creative ability to produce original designs to
promote a wide array of products. These ranged from personal healthcare products
to fashion & jewellery, confectionary, gifts & collectibles, gardening, furniture and
household electrical. I had to work to design briefs and tight schedules, as well as
using my creative ability to design captivating artwork and valid solutions for design
and marketing problems. I worked as part of a team, and interacted with many other
departments such as buying, merchandising, photography and pre-press department
to understand the requirements of each page. I also had to be self motivated to
ensure I could complete the work required within given timescales.

I have also completed design work for small local businesses and have experience
working with clients and to briefs.
